Zeus’ Sword blade was designed from an artists impression from the game franchise God of War.
A mythical sword allegedly wielded by Zeus (conjured up purely for the game, I believe).
I made a crude fancy dress costume to wear (but mainly so I could make and bring this sword along).
Mostly finished, although it requires a carving of Zeus` face on the other side with his worshipers, as well as recreating the surging blue energy in the centre of the blade. I suspect i’ll use LED`s and some white plastazote foam to disburse the illumination.
Zeus’ Sword blade was made out of redwood softwood, sanded down and sprayed silver. I might use some gold details on some of the carving, along with some additional coats of silver to build up the finish.
This was a fun project to make and to bring along for fancy dress.
